The Poetry home at dusk, a two-storey house with stone and wood siding, lit windows and landscaped front steps under tall firs.

Poetry

Located in the heart of Lynn Valley, Poetry draws inspiration from both its surroundings and the rhythm of family life. The home was thoughtfully designed to balance high-performance construction with warm, welcoming spaces tailored to modern living and entertaining. The plan is built around getting outside, with the kitchen opening through a full-width slider onto a covered outdoor kitchen and the garden beyond.

A West Coast Contemporary house with a coach house alongside it on the same property, Poetry features expansive living areas that encourage gathering and connection while maintaining a sense of comfort and sophistication. Carefully selected materials, generous natural light, and a refined palette create an atmosphere that feels both elevated and inviting. Lifestyle-focused features, including a dedicated wine display and storage area, luxurious spa-inspired ensuite with a freestanding bathtub, and multiple spaces for work, relaxation, and entertaining, support the needs of a busy executive family.

Beyond aesthetics, Poetry is an Energy Star certified home, designed with long-term performance and sustainability in mind and built in keeping with today’s energy step code requirements. Built using Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) construction and finished with triple-glazed windows, the home benefits from enhanced energy efficiency, exceptional soundproofing, and increased structural durability. Additional features, including a drain water heat recovery system and solar integration, contribute to a high-performance building envelope that prioritizes comfort, efficiency, and resilience for years to come.
